What do we look for when we buy shoes?
Comfort? Style? Aesthetics? Price? Or, Affordability?
A homegrown brand with global sensibilities - that truly epitomizes all these qualities - Liberty Shoes Ltd. recently invited me to review their Spring Summer '12 collection.
To me, Liberty Shoes resonates with "affordable style", and has been one of my favorite footwear brands for over a decade! Naturally, I was excited to review the collection.
To review the collection, I visited Liberty's Shoes' exclusive Showroom at Connaught Place. I met Mr. Abhishek Kumar, ASM Retail, and Mr.Ganesh Acharya, Store Manager who took me through the exhaustive collection.
I also had the opportunity to speak to Mr. Anupam Bansal, MD, Liberty Shoes about the SS12 collection understanding from him more on the brand vision and insights on the SS12 collection including Liberty's Miss India and Hrithik Roshan Signature range.
Liberty Shoes is a complete family footwear brand with a range that’s
amongst the largest in the industry comprises 10 distinctive sub-brands that
comprehensively establish it as the most varied choice in footwear.
It's amazing to see such a wide range of products across all brand portfolios that caters to the style buds of tiny tots to senior citizens and every one in between :)
The spectrum

Windsor is a man’s idea of comfort in style.
Senorita
is for girls who walk tall, walk light and walk with amazing style.
Tiptopp is the favorite for lovers of strappy styles, comfortable
heels and colors that are the envy of all.
Prefect is
customized to match the school uniform, is for hyperactive kids who are on the
move from the word go.
Footfun
is for tiny tots who need to be in something that’s so airy, so light and so
very comfortable.I personally loved the ultra-colorful Dino shoes for kids.
The Review
Comfortable, Smart, Suave and Fashionably fantastic!
The SS12 collection is trendy and modern. It seems the brand is seriously re-inventing itself to suit the needs of the present generation that believes in style and in standing out; not undermining its forte. Liberty is fast becoming the quintessential fashion brand to reckon with.
The SS12 collection is all about celebrating style and I believe that is a very valuable element of Liberty's brand equity.
The collection is vibrant and I personally loved the the high-end segment of the Fortune range of shoes. The Fortune brand has a wide range
from high-end stylish (refined) to daily-use casual-formal durability
(relaxed) collection ->
I also like the new Force 10 range.The range
has FlexoTech, TechnoWalk and Velocity range of sports shoes offering
unmatched flexibility, comfort, speed, grip and balance all the way! Exciting color combinations! -
The Gliders range has some neat designs and some amazingly tough yet trendy comfort-casual wear options! -
Boots - ideal for trekking/ hiking ->
The Windsor range is actually good for people with special needs who might want to wear shoes that are made in ultra soft leather with padding will find this range useful.The shoe technology enhances natural shock-absorption of the foot’s arch and provides mini
foot massage for relief from foot, lower limb, and back pain.
The brand has shoes ranging from Genuine Leather to Nubuck, Canvas and Water-proof with PU, Molded soles and varying exponents of style and high fashion!
Mentionable - I loved the Aqua-Gel / 5-Point Acupressure/ Doctor Sole
